I, your website editor, Debbie Heer, attended for the first time the annual Jazz Festival in Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K. It takes place the first weekend in November and its official name is Whitley Bay Classic Jazz Party.
I had heard about it for years, but last year I resolved to attend the 2024 edition. Accordingly, I knew that it could be easily sold out, so I made my festival and hotel reservations in April 2024. Then, since I was going to the NE border with Scotland, I planned to visit Edinburgh first. I spent 10 days in Edinburgh with some side visits to St.Andrews, Glasgow, and Inverness. It was amazing to have sunshine and mild weather at the end of October!
